Duafat Group completed the contract to build 4 new equipment, ready to set sail in the new year

Dua Fat continues to affirm its leading position in the market in modern equipment and machinery when simultaneously signing 4 large capacity jack-up barges JUB96-DUAFAT 07 and JUB140-DUAFAT 08/09/10.

Along with the outstanding growth of technologies and machines for the construction of foundations, wharves, bridges, etc. In recent years, Dua Fat Group Joint Stock Company has also focused on promoting investment. The floating equipment is to realize the goal of “Conquer all works” of the BOD. 

After the success of a series of “hyperphysical” self-lifting barges, effectively serving the exploitation and construction of works on the sea and coastal areas with weak terrain, on December 22, 2022, the Company Dua Fat Group continued to sign contracts for the project of jack-up barges JUB96-DUAFAT 07 and JUB140-DUAFAT 08/09/10. This is the next cooperation handshake following the successful launch of the Dua Fat 06 jack-up barge in October 2022 between Dua Fat Group Joint Stock Company, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, and TVL Trading and Mechanical Manufacturing Ltd.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Duy Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dua Fat Group JSC, Mr. Vu Thanh Tung – General Director of Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited, Mr. Vu Tran Thai, Deputy Director of TVL Trading and Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. – a design consultancy, together with the leaders, technical staff of the parties and representatives of media units, newspapers and radio stations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Duy Hung, the representative of the project owner of the jack-up barge project JUB96-DUAFAT 07 and JUB140-DUAFAT 08/09/10 expressed confidence in the qualified expertise and responsibility of the Board of Directors of Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company Limited and all staff involved in the project. After successfully launching Dua Fat 06 jack-up barge, continuing to cooperate in producing 4 jack-up barges with larger capacities will open up new opportunities for both sides.

At the same time, he hopes that the results of this cooperation will make an important contribution to improving the construction capacity and competitiveness of Vietnam in the field of offshore energy exploitation – one of the developing oriented key points of the Party and Government. 

The jack-up barges JUB96-DUAFAT 07 and JUB140-DUAFAT 08/09/10 are 4 of the equipment with the top capacity and tonnage in Vietnam. 4 “hyperphysical” are researched and produced under the complex weather and terrain conditions of Vietnam and the region. Not only optimizing capacity and overcoming the disadvantages of barges and floating equipment currently on the market but JUB96 and UB140 also ensure safe construction, even in storms and storms in the central coastal area.

The barge DUAFAT 07 is expected to have a maximum length of 95.63m, a length of 89.68m, a width of 40m, and a side height of 6.8m. Particularly, Dua Fat 07, 08, and 09 have enormous sizes and loads, with a total barge length of up to 140m to meet the effective demand for offshore wind power construction, regardless of all kinds of weather.

Continuously focusing on equipment investment, especially floating equipment and lifting barges, Dua Fat once again highlights its position as a leader in the fields of foundation construction and renewable energy in Vietnam. 

The investment in modern equipment such as the self-lifting barges Dua Fat 06, Dua Fat 07, and 08-09-10 contributes to not only speeding up the construction progress but also bringing high economic efficiency. Moreover, it increases the initiative in the construction of seaports, as well as the position and competitive advantages of Dua Fat in the domestic and foreign wharf construction markets.
