HOA PHAT – DUNG QUAT STEEL AND CAST-IRON MANUFACTURING AREA

On December 15^th, 2018, Fat Race Foundation Joint Stock Company and the investor of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company conducted a preliminary review and hand over 3.4 dedicated ports of the key project – Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Production Complex.

Port no.3 and no.4 is a part of deep water port – content has an important meaning in the overall project of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Factory Complex. At the hand-over ceremony, the investor recognized and praised the efforts of Fat Racing officers and employees in the timely implementation of many completed items, including handover of port 3 and 4 according to on time. Especially, the construction of the bored piles on the sea of ​​Duafat is highly appreciated for its investment as well as outstanding efforts in the face of many difficulties and challenges.

Difficulties accumulate more and more difficulties when, during the construction of the survey, bad geological sites – mainly granite solid rock – are discovered, leading to a large number of meters of rock drilling. Construction machinery and equipment on the sea in the domestic market do not meet both the quality assurance of the construction and the ability to operate stably in severe weather conditions.

Faced with that fiery water situation, Duafat has bravely invested a lot more imported materials and equipment, 7,100 tons barges, 250 tons cranes, adding more machines far from the plan. Initially, the outstanding feature was the jack-up system of drilling ships and self-lifting decks imported Jack-up to double the number to speed up the construction of 3, 4 berths in time to hand over. Jack-up is a self-lifting and lowering operation platform on the sea that can be constructed in inclement weather conditions (high waves, high winds) with dimensions of 36 × 18.5 × 2.9 × 1.55 with a lifting capacity of 400 tons, 984 CV. The floor has four hydraulic anti-legs with a total length of 35 m.

Currently in Vietnam, Duafat is the first motorized construction unit that owns the Jack-up raised floor technology in the processing field. Works foundations at sea. The investment in modern equipment above not only contributes to speeding up the construction progress but also increases the position and competitiveness of Duafat in the domestic and foreign wharf construction market, absolutely not inferior to anything. with foreign units.

In addition to 24/7 duty and timely guidance on the change of the number of materials and machinery serving the construction, the Duafat Board of Directors also focused fiercely on, the Duafat team from the front line of the construction site to the post. Rear departments raise their morale, make their best efforts day and night to speed up the progress of bringing the items to the destination, accelerate the hand-over of the port 5 and 6 in February 2019. The last days of the year at Hoa Phat construction site are the bustling sound of machines, an urgent and hustle working atmosphere. Then, hundreds of Duafat workers will welcome a new year on a windy and dusty construction site, beside the night lights and gazes with joy, faith, determination to complete the goal, keeping full confidence from the management board, from the owner.
