On the morning of January 25, at Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the project to build Bach Dang bridge, the path and the intersection at the end of the route connecting Hai Phong city with Quang Ninh province. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were many delegates from the National Assembly, ministries, departments, central and local agencies, representatives of the investor joint venture and the Board of Directors of Duafat Foundation Joint Stock Company.
The project, after completion, will complete a road connecting Ha Long city with the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway system and connecting the economic triangle of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh, shortening the length of the the road from Hanoi to Quang Ninh from 175 km to 125 km by expressway, shortens the time from Hanoi to Quang Ninh in half, plays an important role in the inter-regional transport system, promotes revenue advantages. attracting investment, creating a strategic driving force for the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province as well as the northern key economic region, the northern coastal region, the Red River Delta region.
Bach Dang Bridge has a road and intersection at the end of the route with a length of 5.41 km, land use area of 41.9 ha. The starting point connects with the end of the road project connecting Ha Long City with Bach Dang bridge at Km 19 + 800; the ending point connects with the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway. This is a special grade traffic project (according to Decree 15/2013 / Gov. Decree), the scale of the expressway design speed 100km / hour according to the expressway technical standard (TCVN5729-2012 standard).
