Project Overview
The port is designed with a main wharf section measuring 500 meters, capable of accommodating 2 vessels weighing up to 20,000 DWT simultaneously or 3 vessels with a capacity of 10,000 DWT, along with berths for barges at the rear. Additionally, a 180-meter inland berth will be constructed adjacent to the shore, along with the construction of 3 leading bridges… Specifically, the storage and yard area will be comprehensively invested in, equipped with modern infrastructure to best meet the requirements for general cargo and container handling. Furthermore, the project includes a CFS warehouse and port operations office.
As a result, the Vạn Ninh Comprehensive Port has the capacity to receive sea vessels up to 20,000 tons, river-sea ferries, and inland waterway vessels. It serves as a hub for gathering and distributing import and export goods for Vietnam to the Chinese market, forming a logistics service chain to optimize the efficiency of import and export cargo.

It will also play a role in safeguarding national security, especially Vietnam’s sovereignty over its maritime territories.
The investment and construction phase is projected to span three years, with completion and commencement of operations planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.
