JPOn February 19th, the delegation from Duafat Corporation had a business trip to the coastal area of Ca Na, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province to attend the Spring 2021 Launching Ceremony of Phase 1 of the Ca Na Port Project – the Comprehensive Seaport of Ca Na organized by Trung Nam Group. In the context of the complicated Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony was organized quickly but still emotional and full of enthusiasm. The special launching ceremony was attended by Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh – Member of the Party Central Committee – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council of Ninh Thuan province and representatives of the provincial authorities to encourage and motivate the spirit of hard work and creativity of all officials, workers, and contractors in the project.

At the ceremony, provincial leaders performed the ceremony of issuing orders for the deployment of Phase 1 of the Cà Ná Port Area Project – the Cà Ná general seaport. In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Le Duy Hung – Chairman of the Duafat Group, also made a commitment to high determination in construction to complete the project on schedule, ensure quality, and put it into operation according to the set plan. To ensure the project is completed according to the expected schedule in 2021, the Duafat Group and its contractors have mobilized a team of 400 workers to work continuously on the construction site. Especially during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Buffalo, 150 workers were divided into 3 shifts, continuously working on drilling piles under the sea every day.

The Cà Ná Port Project Phase 1 – Cà Ná Integrated Seaport has a planned total area of over 108 hectares, with main functional areas including two ports of 70-100 thousand tons, one port of 20 thousand tons, and a warehouse area with supporting infrastructure. Since the groundbreaking in August 2020, the project has almost completed the construction of the embankment and the resettlement infrastructure. Specifically, the construction of the core stone embankment sections K1, K2, and K3 has been completed 100%, with a total volume of over 175,000 m3 of stone; while the core stone embankment section of the port has been constructed with almost 79,000 m3 of stone, reaching 71%. The structural components of the wharf have completed 58/354 bored piles; 80/295 concrete pile caps; 35/295 vertical and horizontal beams; and 10/208 pre-stressed concrete beams. The resettlement infrastructure has been constructed with a completion rate of 90%

The project includes all planning items such as docks, piers, yards, warehouses, auxiliary facilities, services, technical infrastructure, transportation, and greenery. When in operation, the seaport will apply intelligent technology in its operations to facilitate the handling of goods in the port quickly and conveniently, aiming for sustainable development. In this project, DUAFAT is honored to be the contractor responsible for the dredging, filling, and foundation processing package of the entire port project. Completing phase 1 of the project in 2021 will be an important foundation for building a post-industrial, mineral, and energy support urban area with a scale of tens of billions of dollars in the future. After completion and operation, the project will create favorable conditions for production and processing for industrial parks and clusters operating in Ninh Thuan province, contributing significantly to supporting the transportation of equipment for renewable energy projects such as wind and solar power, making Ninh Thuan become a center for renewable energy in the country and serving the goods transit route of the Central South and Central Highlands regions.
